Artrosan – Joint and Bladder Support for Dogs and Cats

Description

Artrosan König is a veterinary injectable formulation containing Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium, designed to support joint health and bladder function in dogs and cats. It is indicated for the treatment of lameness and pain associated with degenerative joint disease, non-infectious osteoarthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders.

Artrosan® provides anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, and cartilage-regenerating effects, helping to protect and restore joint structures while improving mobility and comfort. As a chondroprotective agent, it supports cartilage metabolism and contributes to the long-term management of degenerative joint conditions.

In cases of idiopathic cystitis, Artrosan® helps regenerate the protective mucous layer of the bladder epithelium, reduces inflammation throughout the bladder tissues, and supports urinary tract health. Its protective action may also help reduce the risk of secondary bacterial infections and disease recurrence.

Composition

Each 100 ml contains:

• Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium: 6 g
• Excipients: q.s.

Indications

• Degenerative joint disease

Dosage and Administration

Route of Administration: Subcutaneous injection (SC)

Recommended Dose:

• 1 ml per 20 kg body weight
• Equivalent to 3 mg of Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium per kg body weight

Osteoarthritis Protocol

• Administer once weekly for 4 consecutive weeks
• The treatment course may be repeated every three months or annually, according to veterinary assessment and patient response

Idiopathic Cystitis Protocol

• Administer on Days 1, 2, 5, and 10
• Additional treatments may be repeated every 5 to 10 days, depending on clinical response and veterinary recommendation
