DIURIVET NF acts by modifying the reabsorption of sodium in the ascending part of the loop of Henle, in the distal and proximal convoluted tubule, causing the sodium to drag liquids, which:

• Increases the filtration volume.
• Causes an inhibition of sodium reabsorption and consequently, also of chlorides and water.
• Acts when there is limited glomerular filtration.

DIURIVET NF is useful in cases of fluid accumulation in:
• Mammary gland (physiological and pathological edema)
• Scrotum and foreskin
• Lung and bronchi
• Extremities and body cavities
• Pulmonary edema (pulmonary congestion, ascites): intravenous injection immediately relieves the symptoms of edema due to cardiac influence.

Pulmonary edema due to acute poisoning also responds to treatment, but in some cases it is advisable to double or triple the corresponding dose at the beginning.

Renal edema: this disease responds well to treatment, which has a diuretic effect, even with very restricted glomerular filtration, showing marked efficacy in the case of chronic glomerulonephritis.

Due to its diuretic action, DIURIVET NF acts effectively in poisoning of various origins (food, stimulant drugs, intestinal or myogenic autointoxication, hemolytic diseases, etc.). The first intravenous injection and then intramuscular injection every other day until the desired effect is obtained, produces conclusive results.
